It was a Sunday, the last day of the 35th Heineken Regatta and as every years I needed to be there. This year, for several reasons, the route of the race was changed. This was just dramatic for whoever will be on the coastal to watch the event as the boats was too far to gives any feeling of speed or any emotion. With a 500mm I will certainly be able to get some interesting shot but I do not have this kind of lens… yet 😉
Anyway I had my filter set and tripod with me and I concentrated on getting the light and the mood of the shore. On the foreground you can see the effect of the erosion on the rocks. On the horizon, the ghost of the boats created by the long exposure as also the houses on the west of Beacon Hill.
