The Green Iguana is not the endemic species of the West Indies. It’s been introduced from central America and took over the former Iguana of the Caribbean who is now endangered. It’s rare to encounter the local Iguana anymore since the Green Iguana is really everywhere on the island. This animal coming from another age is really the king of the island.
